altar societyThis  group of dedicated Ladies assist the Priest and Deacon in the prepartion of the Church for Liturgies, clean the church and perform other functions for the parish.

The patroness of our Society is the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of her Presentation in the Temple (Feast Day, November 21). The objects of the Society are to

 

  • Promote Christian charity
  • The love of God, neighbor and Christian family life
  • To foster love for the House of God
  • To promote frequent attendance at Mass and Holy communion
  • To attend to all needs of the Church and Altar
  • To promote membership in the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women.
 Any lady of the parish, married or unmarried, and any lady of non-Catholic faith whose husband is a member of the parish is eligible for membership. Optional dues are $5.00 per member each year.

  • Secretary and treasurer.

  • Church Cleaning
  • Crafts
  • Floral
  • Fund Raisers 
  • Helping Hand (attending the Rosary, the funeral, and taking food to the families who have lost loved ones)
  • Sunshine
  • Telephone
  • Visitation.
The Ladies sponsor annual events such as

 

  • Receptions for First Communion, Confirmation, Priest's Anniversaries, Welcoming and "'Till We Meet Again" celebrations
  • Host parish covered dish meals for many occasions
  • Sponsor the
    • Family Breakfast
    • Graduate's Breakfast
    • Christmas Party
    • Santa's Secret Shop
    • Easter Crosses given to all parishioners on Easter Sunday
    • Annual trip (or two) to Dauphin Island
    • Birthday lunches
    • Yard sales
    • Participation in all aspects of the Spring Festival
    • Delivering fruit baskets to parish shut-ins
    • and many other activities.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, September through May at 9 a.m. and at 7 p.m. in the DePaul Center on Three Notch Kroner Road. We will provide transportation for anyone that would like to attend. Please feel free to contact any officer or member to obtain information about the Ladies Society
