Finance Council

The Finance Council, as mandated by the 1983 Code of Canon Law, exists to assist the pastor in financial matters.  The council consists of the pastor and six lay parishioners.  All are appointed by the pastor.  The Finance Council helps prepare the parish operating and capital budgets.  It also appoints a subcommittee on stewardship and conducts the annual Catholic Charities Appeal.  In consultation with the pastor, the Finance Council helps develop financial policies on other parish financial matters, such as the school subsidy.
