Sacramental Preparation Baptism There is a preparation program for parents and sponsors prior to the celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism. Please call Fr. Irwin, 661-3908 to set up a meeting. It is a good idea to schedule the preparation program prior to the baby’s birth.
Marriage Register as soon as possible. Please contact the priest at least six(6) months prior to the wedding. The date is tentative until the preparation program is complete. Advent & Lent are Penitential Seasons; couples are encouraged to plan their wedding outside these seasons. Care of the sick and those confined to their Homes Please call the Parish Office for a Priest as soon as you or someone in your family is hospitalized or suffers a serious illness or injury. Regular visits are made to the hospitals and the priest visits those confined to home every First Friday

St. Vincent de Paul Spirit Award The Parish Pastoral Council voted to present the February St. Vincent de Paul Spirit Award to Charmaine Helton for ten years of service preparing the schedule for altar servers and to her son Wade Helton who has served diligently at the Lord’s altar for ten years. Thanks to each of you for your dedication to our Parish!

Refurbishment of Pews The cost of the refurbishment of the pews has been covered and we now have received donations of $550 towards refurbishment of kneelers and adding of seat cushions .If you would like to make a donation towards the cost for pew cushions and kneeler refinishing and cushions, please place your donation in an envelope marked “Pew Refurbishment” and drop same in the collection basket, mail to the Rectory office or give to Fr. Irwin.

Living Stations Our 8th graders will be presenting the Living Stations on Thursday,
April 1 at 1:30 p.m. You are invited to walk with us as we re-enact the Passion and Death of Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ.
Congratulations to 4th grader Victoria Fletcher who won 1st place in the 2009 Veterans’ Day Essay Contest.
We received a $113.56 from Beef O’Brady’s. Open Registration is now underway for the 2010-2011 school year. Registration fee is $100 per child . Contact the school office for information.

is now formed at St. Vincent’s. The meetings will be held on Monday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the DePaul Ctr. The first official meeting will be held Monday, April 5th, with an “Open House”. Downtown Mobile will be the site of “Easter in the Squares” on Saturday, April 3, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Festivities will begin with a “Dino” Easter Egg Hunt in Bienville Square at 11:00 a.m., then don your Easter apparel, load your decorated strollers and wagons, even decorate your pet, for an Easter parade up Dauphin Street to Cathedral Square. Prizes for costumes will be awarded, along with music, face painting, story time and photo opportunities. Stop by the Portier House Gift Shop, 307 Conti Street, for that last minute Easter basket gift. All are invited.

Catholic Social Services offers confidential counseling services for individual or families experiencing a wide range of issues such as parenting, depression, dealing with abuse, grief, marital problems, teenagers/children and other daily issues which an individual may need assistance or guidance with coping. A diversified staff of licensed therapists is available for appointments throughout the day and in the early evening hours. Sessions are based on household income to determine a sliding fee.
